One day we start to see that our sales are dropping. We notice that customers do not want to consume what we promote and we start to wonder what we are doing wrong while the answer is simple: you have to improve your customer service and attention. They often tell us what they want and where we need to improve. Unfortunately, sometimes we don’t listen because of ego or because we think we can afford to lose customers. In the ever-changing economy we live in, it is more difficult to find a new customer than to retain one. That is why I want to invite you to apply to your daily life my method to provide service and achieve results in business or service industries.

ACT Method

Attention: When the customer approaches you must show him the attention he deserves. Try not to multitask while providing service.

Comprehension: Listening is not the same as hearing. When it doesn’t make sense what the client says, don’t attack with your words, ask. Remember, it’s not what you say, it’s how you say it.

Tolerance: Learn to be patient and invite them to continue visiting to learn about your services. If the process of closing a conversation or transaction with the customer becomes tedious you must understand that we now live in an era of informed customers. You are no longer the source of information, you are just a step to decide whether to buy it online or buy it in the store, if I cook at home or if I want to live the experience of consuming the products in your store.

If we analyze, it is difficult to pay attention to what is essential in life when we live consumed by a world that fights for our attention to capitalize on. In many occasions it is complicated to have the necessary understanding to not feel that the world is against you and to avoid living reacting to everything that happens to us in the day. Both situations described above make tolerance an inevitable goal that every leader must have. Today I invite you to use my ACT method to achieve your goals, retain customers and increase your sales. If you look closely, the retailers who are succeeding are the ones who are creating experiences for their customers from the deal to the transaction.
