There comes a point in a leader’s life when they become so overwhelmed that they begin to value silence. Whether you are a business owner, employee, or executive, your mind sometimes screams, “Don’t talk to me!” You are not selfish. I congratulate you for knowing what you need. The problem is that we ignore what our mind asks for. The need to organize our thoughts is crucial to achieving our goals. Although I do not recommend tactlessly verbalizing the request for silence to other people, I would like you to make calming your mind a priority.
You can start with these strategies:
1. Before getting up in the morning do child’s pose (yoga) in bed for 10 minutes. Imagine hearing the alarm, giving it “snooze” and getting into the pose. When the alarm rings again you get up.
2. When you go to work, do breathing exercises with an affirmation. Exercises that involve breathing in continuous intervals increase oxygen levels in the brain, helping you think better and increase dopamine, helping you produce the sensation of pleasure and relaxation in our body.
3. Live in the present and not the anxiety of the future. When your mind wanders and begins to think about things that have not happened and may never happen, close your eyes, breathe, and repeat several times, “I am present. “I am one with this moment.”
4. Become aware of your body posture. Avoid sitting badly and try to stretch your body at least 3 times a day. This improves circulation and reduces stress, helping you focus better on your goals for the day.
So successively we can look at our lifestyle, look for how to incorporate healthy habits without affecting our routine. We spend our lives producing and we forget to fall in love with the process. True victory is found on the path to reaching the result, allowing life to give us the gift of growing, healing and undertaking. Start working on yourself today, progressing one day at a time and one step at a time.
