What now?

Often the Christmas season arrives and we feel like the year is over in the blink of an eye. Mentally we slow ourselves down by focusing on the past. Forgetting that this year can be a lesson for the future. Life is the biggest classroom we will ever have. Let’s take advantage of the opportunity we have to learn the lessons of this school called life because otherwise we will be destined to repeat those mistakes that we face in our daily lives. I attach some strategies on a professional and personal level to help you see results this coming year:

  • On a personal level: Set priorities in your lifestyle, set boundaries for people who invade your personal space with negative energy, and set goals that are accompanied by intentional action with a time frame to realistically achieve them.
  • On a professional level: Do not compare yourself with colleagues or professionals in your same industry, choose your circle of influence wisely and consume educational content that contributes to your specialty niche.

We are a product of our decisions and not our circumstances. We must begin to accept responsibility for our lives. Design habits that allow us to achieve our goals. I would like you to ask yourself daily if what you are doing brings you closer or further away from your goal. If the answer is that your actions take you away from the goal, my biggest recommendation that helps me achieve results with my clients is to write 4 NON-negotiable actions to complete. When you identify it you have to make sure that it is specific and intentional and that you can complete it in a week with little time to execute. Many times as leaders we underestimate the power of micro goals. Maybe with them you don’t reach the goal that day, but it gets you out of where you are and gives you the push to stop wondering: What now?
