Creator of My Barely Famous Life and Founder Lead Up Labs
We can all agree that time flies. First, we are in a time when the sun burns our skin and at the moment we feel the Christmas breezes. Months have passed, but we feel like it was yesterday. We don’t plan at the beginning of the year and we want to have the best Christmas with our family and friends. Unfortunately, money can consume your mind, preventing your focus from remaining on creating happy moments. That is why today I want to give you strategies to save at Christmas:
- Create a budget for outings and a gift list to avoid spending money unnecessarily. You should not start buying without being clear about what you need and even more so if you do not know how much you should invest per person.
- Avoid compulsive purchases for personal use. Not every offer or promotion is needed. Learn to discern between what I want and what I need.
- Try to buy Christmas gifts and menu ingredients for the festive season in advance. Stores tend to raise prices as important dates approach.
- Sit down and talk as a family or as a couple about your financial goals for Christmas. Communication opens doors, since you verbalize the goal and expressing what you propose provides the opportunity to really see your objective and in the same way you can receive feedback and create awareness in moments of temptation. Believe me when I tell you that verbalizing a goal with a circle of influence is the first step to seeing it become a reality.
We are products of our decisions. Sometimes we forget that detail, becoming victims of our circumstances. You won’t experience progress in your future if you only worry about what might happen. You must get busy working for the change you want to see in your life. This is NOT easy, but it is definitely not impossible. Today can be the beginning of great things in your life. Decide today to take steps of financial transformation in the most beautiful time of the year so that you can close 2022 with a flourish and start 2023 on the right foot.
