Summer invites so many things. Relaxing from the daily hustle and bustle, doing things outside, and sharing more with family. I wish I could add to that summer motivation – there are 5 months left to reach your goals for this year! If you haven’t started working on the goal you set in January, the time to start is now. If you have already started working on it, now is the perfect time to take advantage of the extra time you have, and the responsibilities may be a little less this season. We are a product of our decisions. If we want to improve our personal finances and/or reach our goals, we must make a routine that has our priorities and objectives clear. Accompanying that process with intentional action.

Ways to scale or start our personal, professional and/or financial goals:

  • Watch what you eat. Buying food without seeing if it is part of the lifestyle you are looking to have, going out to eat constantly, and not preparing a lunch box to go out with snacks or meals prepared at home hurt your budget in a significant way. Think about what you bought so that it would go bad in the fridge and affect your budget to pay off debts or have gas in the car..
  • Beware that appearances are a magnet for failure. From unnecessary expenses to destructive comments from others. It makes us vulnerable to sabotage our journey to success. Don’t fall into the trap of the famous “Fake it until you make it”.
  • Learn and strategically implement the information gathered.
  • Observe the processes and investigate the causes of the most frequent problems.
  • Evaluate whether your actions are impulsive or strategic. That evaluation helps you be more effective in the way you invest your money and see more results from your actions.

These are simple actions for sustainable and profitable results. The key to this is consistency. You will see that if you start now in a disciplined way to do it, it will become a habit to work on yourself and be aware of your personal finances until the end of the year. You can do anything you set your mind to, start today!
